Ingrid Pitt (born November 21, 1937 – died November 23, 2010) was a Polish-British actress who became one of the most iconic figures in British horror cinema. Best known for her seductive and powerful portrayals in Hammer Horror productions such as The Vampire Lovers (1970), Countess Dracula (1971), and The House That Dripped Blood (1971), she brought fierce intelligence and commanding screen presence to the genre. Pitt's performances made her a beloved cult icon of horror cinema.
