Sometimes dismissed as the poor man's Wild Women Of Wongo, Prehistoric Women really holds a place of its own in the hearts of the fans of this genre. Made eight years earlier than Wongo it has great educational value showing us the invention of fire, cooking, shaving, tree houses, the swan dive and Womens Liberation. It's influence on Wongo cannot be denied both films leading male character are named Engor and both include a female dominance theme. Once again ignored by the Academy Awards in 1950 with best picture going to All About Eve. HOWEVER WOMEN STILL RULE.

While on safari in Africa, big game hunter David Marchant is magically transported back to a savage prehistoric world. There he encounters a fierce tribe of dark-haired women who worship the White Rhino and enslave fair-haired women and men alike. David must use his wits to survive and free the captives from the iron grip of the beautiful but ruthless queen Kari (Martine Beswick).
